What is the Beta Foundation?
The Beta Foundation is the non-profit arm of Sigma Phi Fraternity - the nation's fastest-growing fraternity for gay and allied men. The membership is comprised of alumni from Sigma Phi Beta as well as prominent activsts & thought-leaders from local and national organizations who have objectives aligned with that of the Foundation.
What does the Beta Foundation do to benefit gay charities?
We work with some of the nation's leading gay & allied organizations to advance philanthropic and social goals. By taking the full force of our affiliated membership and teaming up with organizations such as GLSEN, the Human Rights Campaign, and others we help call attention to the issues that are near and dear to the gay community on both a local and national level.
Why does the Beta Foundation try to help gay youth?
As a natural extension of Sigma Phi Beta's own vision statement, the Beta Foundation works to promote social awareness in order to positively impact the lives of gay youth in the United States. We are committed to improving the quality of life for gay males outside of the traditional fraternal structure established by the ongoing efforts of Sigma Phi Beta chapters.
